A bit about my educator being

My name is Qamaruzzaman A.

My mother and maternal grandfather were non-formal educators and community leaders. Thus, from an early age, I was exposed to the primacy of the sum of human learning for both individuals and communities.

Three decades ago, I was introduced to and inspired by the idea that education is “a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future”. My educator praxis is very much founded on this understanding, and my lived experience as a child surrounded by violence.

I invite learners to explore knowledge, acquire and practice skills, examine values and attitudes that can contribute to their well-being and flourishing. Beyond the individual self; we critically explore personal responsibilities and choices that impact the human condition and planetary well-being.
